Six Local Soccer Clubs Collaborate on 2024 DC Winterfest League WASHINGTON, D.C. - Six local soccer clubs have joined forces to form a winter soccer league called 2024 DC Winterfest. This collaboration will allow clubs that are based in the Washington DC area to play intra-club games during the Winter season. Each club will host a full day of matches for their players and families at local fields and facilities in the nation's Capital. The participating clubs are: District of Columbia Football Club (DCFC), Director Amir Lowery; DC Way Academy, Director Denis Chekuristov DC Soccer Club Brookland (DCSC Brookland), Director Thomas Walsh; DC Soccer Club (DCSC), Director Edu de Souza; Player Performance Academy (PPA), Director Annie Worden; and Washington Capitol United (WCU), Director Tudor Stanciu.
The five-week season will allow the local clubs to maintain their training and player developmental models in a friendly atmosphere where all clubs have agreed upon a shared vision for the players and growth models for the game of soccer. The purpose of the 2024 DC Winterfest is to continue developing our club players between seasons while allowing them to participate in friendly games and have fun doing it.

The focus of the 2024 DC Winterfest is to provide each player, team, and club with a positive environment that will allow the coaches to teach good habits, help develop players to appreciate sportsmanship and teamwork and create friendships. All in the nation's Capital.
